After years of working in a machine shop owned by his Father, Steve LaRock and his wife Nita initiated a machine shop in the garage of their Placerville home. They incorporated the company in 1979 as Sierra Prototype Machine Products. Through word of mouth and handshakes, the business grew and expanded and was renamed “Sierra Manufacturing Solutions in 2007 as it diversified into Additive manufacturing processes.
“As we have grown, we have stayed true to our core,” Jason said. “Our founding beliefs and sole focus as a family-run business is customer satisfaction, which includes the ability to make what’s imagined and designed a Reality by utilizing most Additive and Subtractive manufacturing technologies."
